Jeremy, the founder and director of from Within, is a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Before beginning from Within, Jeremy was on staff at Daystar Counseling Ministries where he counseled boys ages 6-26, facilitated groups, and provided parent coaching and consultation.
Jeremy’s therapeutic work is relational, collaborative, and eclectic. He believes that healing happens best within the context of a relationship where people feel supported, valued, and believed in. He also believes that, while there is much to be gained from understanding and using various therapeutic approaches, there is not a single therapy that fits every person or every need. This is where he is collaborative and eclectic in his approach.
Jeremy is married to Erika Shapiro. They have three kids (Isaac, Ada, and Gabe), one dog, and whatever critters their children have brought home that week.
